STEVEN D. CARLISLE
Steve's Article in Digital Fine Art Magazine
Steve Carlisle invited Jerry Uelsmann & Maggie Taylor to spend a day making fine art prints at Thunderbird Editions in Clearwater, FL. Ulesmann had taken photos with the 20" x 24" Polaroid camera, but just wasn't happy with them as individual images. His wife, already making Iris prints with Carlisle, suggested they send the Polaroids to be scanned with the 4"x5" Dicomed digital scanning back.
1997
When Jerry & Maggie made the short trip down from Gainesville, they found his images available in super high resolution already installed on the Macintosh ready to make magic! Maggie loved the giant Wacom tablet & over-sized Barco Monitor. Thunderbird Editions had two Iris 3047 inkjet printers with special 5000 degree viewing booths for evaluating proofs.
